Week 32 2024 | Release Notes

Here are the updates for new and updated products from Employment Hero for the week 4-10 August 2024. 

PrePayroll - Time & Attendance

  • Description: A new feature that allows photo capture and GPS location tracking during clock in/out, providing enhanced verification for global customers using the HR clock in/out function. Employees will be prompted to grant camera and location access upon logging in if they use the HR clock in/out feature.

Workplace Compliance

  • Description: Platform terminology has been updated for the UK market, changing "Leave" to "Time Off" and "Rostering" to "Rota," making the platform more intuitive and aligned with UK business terminology.

    • Target Users: UK users
  • Description: The vertical navigation within the Employee Profile has been redesigned with a new look using React to support future work and enhance the user interface. No changes to functionality, only visual improvements.

    • Release Date: 6 August 2024
    • Target Users: All regions
  • Description: The policy renewal feature, which allows employers to mark policies as renewable annually, is now publicly released after being in open beta. This feature also reflects annual renewals in the policy sharing options.

Core HR

  • Description: Tasks created via workflows can now be assigned to external inboxes, extending the functionality already available for manually created tasks and onboarding/offboarding checklists. This improves flexibility in managing tasks.

Core & Security

  • Description: An enhancement to the SSO login process that redirects users back to the EH SSO login screen when they log out or their session expires, allowing them to quickly return to their company's IDP to log in again.

SmartMatch

  • Description: A survey has been implemented in the job creation flow to gather feedback from recruiters on key aspects they want to see in candidate intro videos, helping improve future candidate video features.

  • Description: SmartMatch recommendations can now be filtered by a desired salary range, improving the relevance of candidates shown to employers based on budget requirements.

    • Release Date: 5 August 2024
    • Target Users: Employers using SmartMatch
  • Description: Job recommendation emails to candidates have been enhanced with more job details, such as location and salary, to encourage more applications to SmartMatch recommended jobs.

  • Description: A set of personalised career guidance tools, including salary benchmarking and job matching, has been introduced on the SmartMatch Hub landing page to capture job seeker interest and direct them to Swag Jobs for further engagement.

Data & AI

  • Description: AI is now used to assist with entering leave applications during parallel testing, improving the speed and efficiency of the process for AI Implementation users.

  • Description: The AI Parallel Pay Runs tool has been improved with a new feature that allows users to add employees during a parallel run without needing to rerun the process, streamlining the workflow.

    • Release Date: 8 August 2024

  • Description: AI-assisted employee creation has been expanded to the UK, enabling localised fields and replicating the success seen in Australia, improving employee setup times by up to 4x.

SEA Payroll

  • Description: A new option in the Gross to Net report provides a monthly breakdown of pay, deductions, and contributions, giving admins better visibility into payroll details over time. The feature is available globally, with region-specific adaptations.

    • Target Users: Payroll admins in all regions

 

Core Payroll

  • Description: A deduction tab has been added to pay runs, allowing related deductions from the pay run inclusion page to flow through more easily, enabling earned wage access for employees within an open pay run.

  • Description: The performance of payroll reports, including the timesheet report and employee details report, has been improved to enhance user experience and speed up report generation.

Growth / PLA

  • Description: The free trial experience for UK micro businesses has been simplified to increase conversions by highlighting core benefits and making the user flow more intuitive for businesses with up to 20 employees.

  • Description: Enhancements have been made to the Salary Benchmarking Tool in Employment Essentials to provide a smoother first-time experience, including changes to name fields and usability improvements for new users.

  • Description: The in-platform promotion offer has been updated to align with the website promotion, providing three months free on HR Premium and Platinum, and Payroll Premium, for new signups.

UK Payroll

  • Description: An update has been made to automatically sync leavers with a termination date from a previous pay run to payroll, ensuring they are included in the next pay run and reported to HMRC correctly.

    • Target Users: AIOP customers on EH UK and EI UK brands

 

Core

  • Description: Custom colour schemes are now available for HR platforms, allowing users to apply their brand’s colours for a more personalised experience. This feature is currently in closed beta with a public release expected soon.

    • Target Users: HR admins, Platinum, all regions
