Download and import custom work hours report as an admin

Managing work hours efficiently is essential, particularly for large organisations where manually recording and processing data is impractical.

The Update Employee Custom Work Hours feature allows admins to streamline this process by bulk updating standard work hours for employees through a simple CSV file upload. This functionality simplifies data management, reduces manual input, and enhances the accuracy of work hours reporting across your organisation.

Manage data

Download and import report
  1. Log into the HR platform.
  2. Click People on the main menu then Import Employees on the submenu.
  3. Scroll down and select Update Employee Custom Work Hours.

    Helpful Hint

    You can choose to select the Include existing user information checkbox and/or the Include terminated users checkbox depending on your requirements.

  4. Click Download.

    The Employee Custom Work Hours CSV file should now be in your web browser's download history.

  5. Once you are satisfied with your CSV file, upload it using the Click or Drag file(s) here to upload tile.

    Important

    Your file will need to contain all the following mandatory fields: First Name, Last Name, Account Email, Employing Entity, Location, and Pattern.

  6. On the Import File window, click the Yes button.
  7. Once you have ensured your data has been correctly mapped on the Map Your Columns window, click Continue.

    Important

    If your CSV file contains errors, a Resolve Errors window will appear. It will show the file name and a checklist of issues to fix. If you encounter this, click the file name, follow the checklist instructions, then save the improvement(s) you will need to make. When finished, re-upload the corrected file using the Click or Drag file(s) here to upload tile.
  8. With the process now complete, read the confirmation window. This will say "Imported Successfully. All of your employees have been imported to our system".
