How do I use the Leave function as an employee on Employment Hero Work?

Employment Hero Work's Leave feature allows you to view and manage your current Leave Balance, submit Leave Requests, and view the status of any previously submitted Leave Requests. You can also change or delete a request if it is no longer relevant.

Helpful Hint

If you use the Leave Management feature regularly enough, it will automatically appear on the Employment Hero Work home screen as a shortcut for easy access.

View and manage Leave Allowance

How do I view my Leave Allowance?
  1. Log in to the Employment Hero Work app.
  2. Tap the Work icon.
  3. Scroll down until you see the heading My Leave, below which you'll see your current Leave Allowance.
How do I request leave?
  1. Log in to the Employment Hero Work app. 
  2. Tap the Work icon.

  4. Tap Leave Request.
  5. Tap Leave category on the Leave Request form.

    Helpful Hint

    For details on what each leave category is, remember that your employer is there to provide you with more information upon request. You can also ask your system administrator if you need further direction.

  6. You will now see a Leave category dialogue, which includes the following eight buttons to choose from. Tap whichever one of the following applies:

    • Annual Leave
    • Long Service Leave
    • New leave cat
    • RDO
    • test leave balance
    • Test Standard Day
    • Unpaid Pandemic Leave
    • Weeks New
  7. Use the calendar to tap the Start and then End dates of your leave request. 
    • You can click Modify hours to change the request on an hourly basis, for example if you want to take a half day.
    • The Total hours will be displayed.
  8. Optional: Add a comment for the manager who will receive your request.
  9. Optional: Add attachment if required. You will be given the opportunity to add an image, file or take a picture.
  10. Tap Submit.

Important

Your Leave Request will now go to your manager to be approved or denied. You will be notified through the app and by email once your manager has responded.
How do I view my Leave Balance?
  1. Log in to the Employment Hero Work app.
  2. Tap the Work icon.

  4. Tap View all.

  5. Read the info in the My Leave Balances dialogue.

 

How do I edit and cancel my Leave Requests?

How do I edit my Leave Requests?
    1. Log in to the Employment Hero Work app.
    2. Tap the Work icon.

      Helpful Hint

      On the Leave page, you’ll now see a history of all your previous Leave Requests, each one with either the Pending, Approved, or Denied status.

    4. Tap whichever type of Leave Request you wish to edit. So, for example, if you wish to edit a Leave Request that's in the Annual Leave category, tap where it says Annual Leave.

       

    5. Tap whichever one (or more) of the following six items you wish to change or update:

      • Leave category

      • First day

      • Last day

      • Leave required

      • Notes

      • Add attachment

    6. Edit your chosen item(s) then tap Submit.

How do I cancel my Leave Request?
  1. Log in to the Employment Hero Work app.
  2. Tap the Work icon.

  4. Tap the Leave Request you wish to delete.
  5. Address the bottom of the Leave Request dialogue then tap Cancel leave request.
  6. Tap Confirm.
