Set up your Company values - HR Web Platform

Overview

Company values are the set of guiding principles and fundamental beliefs that help a group of people function together as a team and work toward a common business goal. You often relate these values to business relationships, customer relationships, and company growth.

The Company Value Settings feature allows you to create your own organisational values by either creating your own from scratch, or you can use the provided templates as a building base. You can also use this feature to edit the details, archive a value you do not use anymore, or delete an entry you added in error. 

Availability

HR Plan:   Free   Standard   Premium   Platinum
  User Access:   Employee         Manager         Admin      

  We base the default access level on a per user basis and whether they have  view,  edit and  delete access and excluding any changes made via our Custom Security feature.

Getting Started

This section will show you how to set up your company values, which are useful tools for establishing core ideas for your employees to follow.

Create company value: Template based
  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click one of the four provided values:
    • We are one team.
    • We are bold and ambitious.
    • We invent.
    • We serve.

  4. Edit any of the following fields if required:
    • Value name.
    • Icon.
    • Value description.
  5. Click the Save button.

Create company value: Blank Canvas
  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click the Add New button.

  4. Enter your value name within the Value Name field.
  5. Click the Plus button and select either:
    • Upload an icon.

      Important

      The maximum uploaded file size allowed is 2MB, while the recommended image file size is 267px x 267px.

    • Choose from Employment Hero provided icons.
  6. Enter a summary of your chosen organisational value within the Description field.
  7. Click the Save button.

Maintain

From time to time you may need to add to or shift your ideas regarding the company values, especially when or if a change in branding occurs.

Edit company value
  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click the Three Dots button.
  4. Click the Edit button.

  5. Make the required changes and click the Save button.

Archive company value

Important

The Archive a Company Value feature is only available when a recognition post on the company feed uses one of your company values.

  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click the Three Dots button.
  4. Click the Archive button.

Un-archive company value

Important

You can only un-archive a company value that has the status of archived.

  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click the Three Dots button.
  4. Click the Unarchive button.

Delete company value

Important

The Delete a Company Value feature is only available when a recognition post on the company feed did not use one of your company values.

  1. Click the General Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Values submenu.
  3. Click the Three Dots button.
  4. Click the Delete button.
