Pay run: Messages

Overview

This feature allows you to add a tailored message to all employees pay slip when processing a pay run. If you are creating a once off or ad hoc pay run, you can use this message to convey to your employees why they are receiving the additional pay slip.

A pay run needs creating first, before you can add a message. For details on how to create a pay run refer to the following article.

Important

You can only add messages to unlocked pay runs. If you would like to add a message to a locked pay run, you must unlock it first.

Getting started

Creating a message
  1. Click the Pay Run menu.
  2. Click on pay run that needs a message added.

  3. Click on the Actions tab.
  4. Click the Pay Run Actions button.
  5. Click the Add Message button.

  6. Type the required message out and click the Save button.

Maintain

Editing a message
  1. Click the Pay Run menu.
  2. Click the Pay Run menu.
  3. Click on the pay run that needs a message edited.

  4. Click on the Actions tab.
  5. Click the Edit button.

  6. Make the required changes and click the Save button.
