Constructing survey templates | HR Web Platform

Employee surveys are a set of questions you ask your team and are a great way to gain insight into employee engagement and experience within your organisation. You can design employee surveys to measure your employees’ thoughts, opinions, and feelings within your workplace and use these insights to build a stronger workplace culture.

The Constructing Survey Templates feature allows you to create a survey template from scratch that you can then use repeatedly within your business, or you can choose to use one of our provided templates. You can also use this feature to edit the information if it needs changing and delete an entry if it is no longer required.

Important

Before you can create a template, you need to create a survey first, i.e. if you have never used custom surveys, the Templates tab will not display at all for you.

Availability

HR Plan:   Free   Standard   Premium   Platinum
  User Access:   Employee         Manager         Admin      

  This is the default access level per user and whether they have  view,  edit and  delete access, excluding any changes made via our Custom Security feature.

Getting started

Create a survey template

Important

The following features are only available to users on our platinum pricing tier.

  1. Click the   Engagement menu.
  2. Click the Custom Survey submenu.
  3. Click the Templates tab.
  4. Click the New Survey Template button.

  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Enter survey title.
    • Enter a question.
    • Question type.

    Helpful Hint

    Click the   Add Question button to add further questions to your survey. There is no limit to the amount of questions you can add to your custom survey.

Daily activities

Use an Employment Hero survey template
  1. Click the   Engagement menu.
  2. Click the Custom Survey submenu.
  3. Click the Templates tab.
  4. Select the desired document by clicking the Use Template button.

  6. Select from the following response types:

    Important

    The anonymous response type is only available to users on our platinum pricing tier.

    • Anonymous.
    • Non-anonymous.
  7. Select from the following sharing options:

    Important

    The following sharing options are only available to users on our platinum pricing tier.

    • All employees
    • Employees.
    • Teams
    • Locations
  8. Select from the following survey scheduling options:
    • Start date.
    • Start time.
    • End date.
    • End time.
  9. Click the Save a Draft button.

    Important

    If you want to send the survey out immediately to the selected users, click the Publish button and will mean the survey becomes available on the selected user's dashboard.

Use a survey template

  5. Click the   Use Template button

  6. Complete the following fields:
    • Enter survey title.
    • Enter a question.
    • Question type.

View a survey template

Editing data

Edit a survey template

Important

  1. Click the   Engagement menu.
  2. Click the Custom Survey submenu.
  3. Click the Templates tab.
  4. Click the template that needs editing

Removing data
