How do I correct Single Touch Payroll (STP) RESC values

Question

How do I correct Reportable Employer Superannuation Contributions (RESC) values on the Single Touch Payroll (STP) update event screen?

Answer

You can use the Correct RESC Values feature within the Pay Event module to update the data if someone entered this information incorrectly. You will need to undertake this process via your Employment Hero Payroll platform.

Warning

The Correct RESC Values feature will only be available for FY21/22 and previous STP events. On November 4th, 2020, we changed the RESC deduction category. We did this to help users avoid wrongly adding RESC deductions to anything other than a super fund.

Correct RESC values
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
  2. Click the   Report menu.
  3. Click the Single Touch Payroll submenu.Download_1.jpg
  4. Select the update event that needs pay run figures displayed.

  5. Click the Actions   button.
  6. Click the Correct RESC Values button.

  7. Complete the following fields:
    • Select employee to correct RESC values for.
    • Deduction type.
  8. Click the Show Deductions button.

  9. Select the payment that needs updating.
  10. Select the relevant option from the Change Payment Method drop-down.
  11. Click the Change Payment Method button.
