You must provide a termination reason for the employee. Effective from 19 October 2021, selecting a termination reason will be mandatory. However, we recorded terminations prior to this date without a reason and with the new STP Phase 2 requirements, you must now specify a termination reason for these employees.
The solution depends on whether you use just our Employment Hero product or both our HR and payroll product. If you use both products, you will need to record the termination reason on your HR platform and it will sync over to your payroll platform.
