Configuring your new employee request process

Available for the following HR classic plans: Premium, Platinum
Available for the following User Access levels: Admin      

The Employee Requisition feature enables you to configure and edit your organisation's approval process for new employee requests on your platform. This feature allows you to specify approvers, modify the process as needed, and delete any obsolete entries.

Getting started

Add a new employee request approval process
  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Add Approval Process button.

  4. Complete the following fields:
    • Approval process name.
    • Assign to team.
    • Requisition approvers.
    • Onboarding approvers.
  5. Click the Save button.

Editing data

Edit a new employee request approval process
  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Onboarding Approvals submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Edit button.

  5. Make the requested changes and click the Save button.
  6. Click the Continue button.

Removing data

Delete a new employee request approval process
  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Onboarding Approvals submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Delete button.

What specific access do I need to enable to use this feature?

To enable employees to submit an Onboarding Approval request, specific permissions must be activated in the Custom Security Settings feature. Go to Settings, then select Custom Security Settings. Click the Other Permissions tab and scroll down to where it says Onboarding (onboarding employees), and then select Use tick box.

Please note, this setting currently allows employees to add users without adhering to the Onboarding Approval process. We are aware of this limitation and our Product Team is working on refining this workflow. At this moment, enabling these settings remains the only available workaround.

Feature terms defined
Owner Owner of the business, and they have the same access as admin.
Admin Administrator access to the whole platform and no restrictions.
Requester's Manager The primary manager of the employee requesting the employee's requisition.
Head of Employee's Team You can assign a team leader from within the Teams Settings feature. If you do not assign a leader, we will automatically approve the request.
Head of a Specific Team You can assign a team leader from within the Teams Settings feature. If you do not assign a leader, we will automatically approve the request.
Specific Person Specific person you would like to select from the employee list to approve the request.
