Manage my organisation's new employee requests

Available for the following HR classic plan: Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access level: Admin    

The New Employee Requests Management feature allows you to submit a new employee request and then have the submission either approved or declined. You can also use this feature to view the details of the request and cancel a submission if it is no longer needed.

Important

Before you can use this feature, you will need to set up your new employee request approvals. This article explains how to do so.

Getting started

Create new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Create a New Requisition button.

  4. Complete the following:
    • Position type.
    • Populate details based on an employee?
    • Hiring team.
    • Job title.
    • Total budgeted amount.
    • Base salary.
    • Benefit.
    • Employee type.
    • Expected end date.
    • Primary manager.
    • Secondary manager.
    • Locations.
    • Teams.
    • Work hours.
    • Ordinary hours.
    • Recruitment method.
    • Comments.
    • Attachments.
  5. Click the Submit button.

Manage data

Approve a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   View button.

  6. Enter a comment and click the Approve button.

Cancel a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Cancel button.

Decline a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   View button.

  6. Enter a comment and click the Save button.

Onboard a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Onboard button.

  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.

Edit data

Copy a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Make a Copy button.

Remove data

Delete a new employee request
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Employee Requisitions submenu.
  3. Click the Actions   button.
  4. Click the   Delete button.

Definitions

Definitions
Owner Owner of the business, and they have the same access as admin.
Admin Administrator access to the whole platform and no restrictions.
Requesters Manager The primary manager of the employee requesting the employee requisition.
Head of Employee's Team You can assign a team leader from within the Teams Settings feature. If you do not assign a leader, we will automatically approve the request.
Head of a Specific Team You can assign a team leader from within the Teams Settings feature. If you do not assign a leader, we will automatically approve the request.
Specific Person Specific person you would like to select from the employee list to approve the request.
