How do I bulk update employee leave balances in a pay run?


Payroll Plan:   Standard   Premium


You can use the Bulk Adjust Leave Balances feature to update your leave balance totals at once as opposed to indvidually within a pay run. You will need to undertake the below steps via your Employment Hero Payroll platform.

Bulk update leave balances
  1. Log in to your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
  2. Click the   Pay Run menu.
  3. Click on the pay run that needs leave updated in bulk.
  4. Click the Pay Run Actions button.
  5. Click the Bulk Adjust Leave Balances button.
  6. Complete the following fields:
    • Select employees:
      • All employees in the pay run. 
      • Search by:
        • Employee list.
        • Emloying entity.
        • Employee groups.
        • Employment type.
        • Leave allowance type.
    •  Adjust leave balance for the chosen leave category.
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Complete the following fields:
    • New leave balance.
    • Notes
  9. Click the Apply to Pay Run button.

    Helpful Hint

    You can add a second leave category or add new employees to the first one by clicking the Additional Leave Adjustments button. If you entered your data incorrectly, you can click the Clear All Values button to just delete the leave balance changes, or you can click the Delete button to remove the leave category entirely.
