The medical circumstances of employees sometimes change. When that happens, updates need to be made to their medical clearance to work because of a recent medical event or their existing declared conditions because they have recovered. You can update these details for them using the Medical Disclosure feature. The platform will reflect these changes, making sure the employee's record is always up to date.

You will only see this feature if you have enabled Medical Disclosure via Menu Customisation feature. To read more about this, please refer to this article on employee file customisation.
Daily activities
Helpful Hint
When an employee updates their Medical Disclosure Statement, the platform creates a scheduled task for their primary manager (or admin, if there is no primary manager assigned to the employee). When the task is created, it will trigger an email notification.
- Click the Home menu.
- Click the View All button in the Task block on your dashboard.
- Click the My Tasks tab.

You may check the Other Tasks tab if the employee is not your direct report.
- Click the Actions dropdown button for the platform-generated medical disclosure task.
- Click the View button.
- Click the Here button.

You will now be taken to the Medical Disclosure Statement screen on the employee file page.
- Click the Acknowledge button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see the acknowledgement banner on the medical disclosure page, showing who acknowledged these details and when.
- Click the People menu.
- Click the Employees List submenu.
- Select the employee that needs a medical condition added.
- Click the Medical Disclosure Statement tab.
- Click the Yes button.
- Enter the nature of their injury or medical condition.
- Select Yes or No regarding their medical clearance to work.
- Enter their current work restrictions.
- Click the Save button.

Your platform admin needs to have enabled via the Custom Security feature the ability for you to have view and modify access to the Medical Disclosure feature.
