Leave requests | HR Employee File

Overview

Employee leave management is the processes and policies designed for your business to handle requests for time-off for staff leave, inclusive of vacation, holidays, sick leave, and parental leave. A successful employee leave management system will provide a fair and accurate way to manage these requests and guarantees that your organisation takes care of both your employees' needs and your company's legal requirements.

The Leave Request feature within an employee's personnel file enables you to view all the leave requests associated with this employee. This means you can easily see what leave they have approved, declined or pending, allowing you to plan out your team resourcing requirements.

Important

The Standalone HR features described in this article are currently in closed beta. If you would like access to these features, please let your sales representative know and they will turn this functionality on for your organisation.

Getting Started

Standalone HR

Availability

HR Plan:   Standard   Premium   Platinum
Adjusting an employee's leave balance
  1. Click the Personnel menu.
  2. Click the Employees submenu.
  3. Select the employee whose balance needs adjusting.
  4. Click the Leave Requests tab.
  5. Click the Adjust Leave button.

  6. Complete the following fields:
    • New balance.
    • Reason.
  7. Click the Adjust button.

Viewing an employee's leave details
  1. Click the Personnel menu.
  2. Click the Employees submenu.
  3. Select the employee whose leave details you wish to view.
  4. Click the Leave Details tab.
  5. Click the Leave Details tab.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see the employees leave details on your screen.

  1. Click the Personnel menu.
  2. Click the Employees submenu.
  3. Select the employee whose leave balance history you wish to view.
  4. Click the Leave Details tab.
  5. Click the Leave Details tab.
  6. Select the required leave category.

    Helpful Hint

    You will now see the employees balance history on your screen.

  1. Click the Personnel menu.
  2. Click the Employees submenu.
  3. Select the employee whose leave you wish to view.
  4. Click the Leave Details tab.
  5. Click the Leave Request tab.

Availability

HR Plan:   Standard   Premium   Platinum
Definitions: Leave status
Pending Your leave is waiting for your manager to approve.
Approved Your manager has approved your leave.
Partially approved One of the two required managers has approved a two-level leave request.
Declined Your manager has rejected your leave request.
Definitions: Clock symbols
Created at Provides a timestamp of the leave request creation date.
Approved by Provides the name of the user that approved the request.
Approved at Provides the date and time of approval

Icon Name  Description
  Message This means the employer has left a note regarding this leave request.
