Overview
As an organisation, you would have eligible employees who can take up to 52 weeks maternity leave as part of the UK's Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP). The first 26 weeks would fall under Ordinary Maternity Leave, while the last 26 weeks fall under Additional Maternity Leave. While the earliest that an employee can take this leave is 11 weeks before the expected week of childbirth, unless the baby is born early.
The Employee Statutory Maternity Pay feature allows you to set up an employee's SMP payment and choose the category, the date the inclusion starts on and the amount. You can also use this feature to edit any information entered previously and delete a record that is no longer required.
