Add, edit, and delete your company employing entities on the HR platform

Available for the following HR plans: Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access level: Admin    

As an organisation, you will constantly undergo changes that could just be updating your business number right through to creating a new employing entity for a new business unit. These changes form a natural part of managing a business because as you grow, expand and diversify, your organisation will need to change to meet these new conditions.

You can use the Employing Entities feature to update your employing entity details stored within the HR platform, such as the location, name and business number. The platform will reflect the changes you make in this section throughout the entire HR platform, making sure your platform displays the correct information to your users.

Important

If you are integrating with a payroll platform, the employing entity will need to be created in the Employment Hero payroll platform first. You should only create an employing entity in the HR platform if it is an overseas entity not integrated with your payroll platform.

Getting started

Add an employing entity
  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employing Entities button.
  4. Click the Add button.

  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Name.
    • Country.
    • Business Number.

    Helpful Hint

    The business number, also known as the Company Registration Number, is an eight-number long code. However, if your number does not have eight numbers, please add leading zero's' to make sure it saves successfully

    • Set as default employing entity.
  6. Click the Save button.

Editing data

Edit an employing entity
  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employing Entities button.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. Click the   Edit Entity button.

  6. Make the required changes and click the Save button.

Data Management

Enable an employing entity

Important

Enabling of an employing entity is only available when an entity has the disabled status.

  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employing Entities button.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. Click the   Enable button.

Removing data

Delete an employing entity

Important

The deleting of an Employing Entity is only available when an entity has no assigned employees.

  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employing Entities button.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. Click the   Delete button.

  6. Click the Delete button.

Disable an employing entity

Important

The disabling of an employing entity is only available when an entity has assigned employees.

  1. Click the   Settings menu.
  2. Click the Company Settings submenu.
  3. Click the Employing Entities button.
  4. Click the Actions button.
  5. Click the Disable button.
