Manage user security audits using enhanced filtering capabilities

The User Security Overview enhancements provide a faster and more scalable way to manage your organisation's security audits. These updates focus on speed and efficiency, allowing you to locate specific accounts and verify security compliance without manual scrolling. By loading data in manageable pages and providing instant search capabilities, the dashboard remains responsive even for businesses with thousands of users.

This article will show you how to manage the following:

Locate users with the search bar

Perform an instant lookup

The search functionality allows you to find specific people instantly by typing their details rather than scrolling through the entire list.

  1. Log in to Employment Hero.
  2. Navigate to the User Security Overview page within the Payroll platform.
  3. Locate the Search box positioned near the top of the page.
  4. Type the user's Name or Email address.
  5. Review the results; the list will update automatically as you type to show matching users.

Helpful Hint

To return to the full list, click the X button in the search box or manually delete the text you entered.

Navigate through paginated results

Browse manageable user pages

Pagination breaks down large user bases into smaller chunks, improving page load times and browser stability.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the user list on the User Security Overview page.
  2. Locate the Pagination Controls.
  3. Click Next to view the following set of users or Previous to return to the previous page.
  4. View your current position in the list by checking the status message (e.g., "Showing 1 to 20 of 500 users").

Important

For organisations with 20 or fewer users, pagination controls will not appear as all information fits onto a single page.

Narrow results using basic filters

Surface high-priority accounts

Use basic filtering options to identify users who need attention based on their security settings or assigned roles.

  1. Locate the Filters panel on the User Security Overview page.
  2. Select an option from the Security Status filter to view users by 2FA Status or Passkey Status.
  3. Select an option from the User Type filter to view users based on a specific role, such as Admin or Manager.
  4. Combine filters across different groups to find specific users, such as "Admins" with "2FA Disabled".

Helpful Hint

If no users match your current filter selection, a No Results message will appear. Click the Reset button to clear all active selections and return to the full list.

Adjust your custom page view

Choose the number of users to display

You can customise your workflow by choosing how many users appear per page.

  1. Navigate to the pagination area at the bottom of the user list.
  2. Locate the Page Size Selector.
  3. Choose your preferred display amount, such as 10, 20, 50, or 100 users per page.
  4. The list will automatically recalculate and reload your new view.

Helpful Hint

Applying a new search term or a filter will automatically reset your view to Page 1.
