Company Details
As your business evolves, you'll regularly update key details, from changing phone numbers to refreshing your company name or address. Company Details lets you manage your company's legal name, phone number, address, industry and size in one place. Accurate details help Employment Hero provide better insights, support compliance with local regulations and tailor engagement strategies to your industry and company size.
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Company section, click Company Details.
- Update any of the following fields:
- Company name.
- Company phone number (optional).
- Address Line 1.
- Address Line 2 (optional).
- Suburb. Select your suburb, postcode and state from the list.
- Industry category. This helps provide industry-specific insights and benchmarks.
- Company size. This helps tailor engagement strategies for your company.
- Choose whether to tick the Use this suburb and state as the default work location and public holiday calendar for new employees box.
- Click the Save Company Details button. To discard your changes, click Cancel.
Helpful Hint
If you tick the default work location box, Employment Hero will assign new employees in your organisation to this suburb and state by default, and the matching location appears in Locations.
Helpful Hint
The company name you enter here will not appear on reports, documents or contracts, as these use the nominated employing entity. The Country field is shown for reference and can't be edited.
Employing Entities
Employing entities are the legal entities that employ your staff. They are displayed on contracts and payslips. The Employing Entities page lists each entity's legal name, country, business number and whether it is the default entity.
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Company section, click Employing Entities.
- Click the Add Employing Entity button.
- Complete the following fields:
- Legal Name. This field is required.
- Country.
- Business Number.
- Optionally, tick Set as default employing entity.
- Click the Save button.
- The employing entity will automatically be enabled, meaning you can add employees to this entity.
Helpful Hint
The business number is also known as the Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Tax Reference Number. It is required for all tax-related procedures.
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Company section, click Employing Entities.
- Click the Actions (…) button at the end of the entity's row.
- Click the Edit Entity button.
- Make the required changes and click the Save button.
Important
The disabling of an employing entity is only available when an entity has assigned employees. Disabling will stop the employing entity appearing throughout the platform, but it can be re-enabled if required.
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Company section, click Employing Entities.
- Click the Actions (…) button at the end of the entity's row.
- Click the Disable button.
Important
You can only re-enable an entity after it has been disabled. All new employing entities are enabled by default.
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Company section, click Employing Entities.

The Locations page lists each location's name, country and description.
