As part of the payroll documents that can be synced from Payroll classic to Employment Hero, you can now sync Auto Enrolment letters. When Auto Enrolment letters are saved in Payroll classic, the letters will be synced to the Documents widget in the employee file where they can be viewed and downloaded by admins and employees. The Auto Enrolment letters will also be available in the Compliance>My Documents area under the Payroll Documents section.
Getting started
- Log into the Payroll classic platform.
- Open the employee file for the employee you want to sync the letter for.
- Click on HMRC/AE Forms.

Under the Auto-enrolment Notice section, click on the Save button.
Helpful Hint
If there is no Auto Enrolment letter under this section, the employee’s pension settings have not been configured. This can be done under the Pension Settings tab in the employee file in Payroll classic.
Further information
Once you have saved the Auto Enrolment letter for an employee in Payroll, they will receive a notification the next time they log in to the HR platform. They can open the document directly from this notification or access it later either in the Documents module of their employee file or the My Documents page under the Compliance area.
