The Post Insights feature provides administrators with detailed engagement analytics for Company Feed posts. You can view metrics such as reactions, comments, and read confirmations to understand how employees are interacting with your announcements, recognitions, shoutouts, and other posts. This data helps you measure the effectiveness of your internal communications, identify trends in employee engagement, and make informed decisions about future posts. Post Insights can be filtered by employee, team, or engagement type, and exported to CSV for deeper analysis.

Helpful Hint

Post Insights are available only to administrators and owners. This data is not visible to individual employees or managers.

Understanding Post Insights Data

Engagement metrics

Post Insights displays the following engagement metrics:

Reactions - The total number of emoji reactions the post has received, along with a breakdown showing which emojis were used and by how many employees.

Comments - The total number of comments on the post, displaying the comment count and allowing you to view individual comments.

Read Status - For announcements with confirmation required, this shows how many employees have marked the announcement as read and how many have not yet confirmed.

Important

Read Status is only available for announcements where you selected Require confirmation once read when creating the post.

Who engaged with the post

The Post Insights panel displays which specific employees have engaged with your post. You can see:

  • Names of employees who reacted, along with which emoji they used
  • Names of employees who commented, with a preview of their comment
  • For announcements, which employees have marked it as read and which have not

You can click on an employee's name to view their profile or send them a direct message if they haven't engaged with an important announcement.

Filtering and Exporting Data

Filter engagement data

The Post Insights panel includes filtering options to help you focus on specific engagement data:

  1. Open the Post Insights panel for any post.
  2. Use the available filter dropdowns at the top of the insights panel:
    • Employee - Filter to see engagement from a specific employee
    • Team - Filter to see engagement from employees in a specific team
    • Engagement Type - Filter by Reactions, Comments, or Read Status
  3. Your data will update in real-time as you apply filters.
  4. Click Reset to clear all filters and view the full engagement dataset.

Helpful Hint

Filters are useful for identifying which teams are most engaged with your posts, or checking if specific employees have confirmed reading important announcements.

Export engagement data to CSV

You can export Post Insights data to a CSV file for use in spreadsheets, reports, or further analysis:

  1. Open the Post Insights panel for the post you want to export data from.
  2. Apply any filters you want to include in the export (optional).
  3. Click the Export to CSV button.
  4. The CSV file will download to your computer with a filename including the post title and date.

Important

Only filtered results will be included in the CSV export. If you've applied filters, the export will only contain the data matching those filters.

Helpful Hint

Use CSV exports to create engagement reports, track announcement acknowledgement over time, or analyze engagement trends across multiple posts.

Further Information

What types of posts have insights available?

Post Insights are available for all post types on the Company Feed:

  • Regular posts
  • Shoutouts
  • Recognition posts
  • Announcements
  • Birthday posts
  • Work anniversary posts
Can I see insights for posts I didn't create?

Yes. As an administrator, you have access to Post Insights for all posts on the Company Feed, regardless of who created them. This allows you to monitor engagement across the entire organisation and gain insights into the effectiveness of posts created by other administrators or team members.

How far back can I view post insights?

You can view Post Insights for any post that is currently visible in the Company Feed. As posts age and move further down the feed, insights remain available as long as the post has not been deleted. Archive or export important engagement data regularly if you need to maintain historical records beyond the retention period of the feed.

Do employees know I'm viewing their engagement data?

No. Employees are not notified when administrators view Post Insights data. The viewing of insights is a private administrative function and does not trigger any notifications to employees.

What data is included in the CSV export?

The CSV export includes:

  • Post title and date created
  • Post type (Regular, Shoutout, Recognition, etc.)
  • Employee names and engagement action (reacted, commented, marked as read)
  • Team information
  • Timestamp of engagement activity
