View your health insurance and add dependants to your policy

Employment Hero's Kota integration allows you to view your company's nominated health insurance for you. You can see your coverage details via the Perks & Benefits module, where you can add your dependants. You can also opt out of the insurance policy, if needed.

Getting started

View your health insurance policy

  1. Click the Benefits & Perks menu.
  2. Under Benefits, click the Benefits Management submenu.
  3. Click the Health Insurance tab.
  4. You can review your plan details.
  5. You can also go directly to the insurer website via the Open button in the Insurer Support & Resources section, if applicable.

Add dependants to your policy

Important

You can only add dependants during the policy adjustment period. This may vary, so please confirm with your admin what the deadline for adding dependants is.

  1. Click the Benefits & Perks menu.
  2. Under Benefits, click the Benefits Management submenu.
  3. Click the Health Insurance tab.
  4. Click the Add dependants button under the Your Health Insurance heading.
  5. Click the Add dependant button in the Add Family Members to Your Insurance section.
  6. Under General Information, enter the following:
    1. First name.
    2. Last name.
    3. Date of birth.
    4. Dependant type.
    5. Sex assigned at birth.
    6. Email address.
  7. Please answer the questions under Information Required by the Insurer, which may vary per insurer.
  8. Click the Save dependant button.
  9. Click the Get a quote button.
  10. Review the policy terms for the new dependant.
  11. Click the Confirm policy changes button.

Opting out of the health insurance policy

Opt out of your insurance policy

Warning

You can only opt out during the policy adjustment period. This may vary, so please confirm with your admin what the deadline for opting out is. Please note that you can only opt back in during the following policy renewal period.

  1. Click the Benefits & Perks menu.
  2. Under Benefits, click the Benefits Management submenu.
  3. Click the Health Insurance tab.
  4. Click the I want to opt-out button under the Your Health Insurance heading.
  5. Click the Cancel my plan button.

How was my insurance plan chosen?

Your employer chooses the insurance plan and coverage for you. If there are any changes needed, please contact your admin.
