Request leave on the Payroll platform

Available for the following Payroll classic plans: Essentials, Standard, Premium
Available for the following user access levels: Employee

As an employee, you'll need to submit a leave request for time off, such as for a doctor's appointment or a trip. This allows your manager to review and approve your request, ensuring it doesn't conflict with any projects or team schedules.

You can use the Payroll platform's "Request Leave" feature to check your leave balance and submit a request if you have enough leave. The feature also lets you view the status of your requests, edit them if details change, or delete them if no longer needed.

This applies to Employment Hero Payroll users. For the HR platform, see this article.

Important

If you cannot submit leave through the Payroll platform, contact your payroll administrator because one of the two following scenarios applies:

  • Your payroll admin needs to enable employee portal access for you or,
  • Your organisation manages leave in the HR platform, not in the Payroll platform.

Important

If you are a HR+PY connected client, from October 2023, you will be notified about our new integrated feature where HR will be your source of truth for all Leave settings. If you have been migrated to the new platform, then the article you need for leave requests is: Submit, view and edit leave | HR Employee Content.
