Question

I know how to import information for employees via a CSV file into the Employment Hero platform, but what about the opposite? How do I download or export our current data? 

Answer

Within your organisation, you may have times where you will need to review your employee records in bulk. Whilst one method is our popular custom report feature, you can only access this on premium plans and up. An alternative that is available to all plans is simply using the Import Employees feature to download from a range of templates with varying data fields. The feature can save you time and make sure your platform has the correct data loaded.

Download your information
  1. Click the   People menu.
  2. Click the Import Employees submenu.
  3. Click on one of the following sample templates:
    • Advanced Import Employees (Including pay details).

    Helpful Hint

    This contains the maximum information available based on all employee details.

    • Update employee employment details.
    • Update employee pay details (XERO).
    • Quick import employees.
    • Update employee custom fields.
  4. Choose at least one of the checklist options:
    • Include existing user information.

    Helpful Hint

    Check this box for all current employees.

    • Include terminated users.

    Helpful Hint

    Check this box for all ended employees.

    Important

    Leaving both boxes with no ticks will provide you with a blank template.

  5. Click the Download button.
