As an organisation, communication between all employees is crucial. You may use an external messaging platform, such as Slack, that acts as your primary communication feature for your employees. If so, you can use our Slack integration so you can post announcements from your HR company feed onto Slack automatically. This will alert employees to any announcements through the Employment Hero platform and dedicated Slack channel.
Getting started
- Select Settings menu.
- Select Add-Ons submenu.
- Scroll to the Slack add-on option.
- Click the Connect button.
- Select the Slack channel where you want your announcements to be posted.
- Click the Allow button.
Helpful Hint
Slack will now appear as a Connected Application on your add-ons page.
Post a message
- Click the Home menu.
- Under the Company Feed section, click the Shout Out and Recognise your Peers button.
- Select the Company Feed post type you want to send.
- Enter your announcement and once done, click the Post button.
Helpful Hint
The message will now show in your specified Slack channel.
- Select Settings menu.
- Select Add-Ons submenu.
- Click the Actions button.
- Click the Disconnect button.
- Confirm your selection by clicking the Disconnect Application button.
Further information
The Slack integration can be used to notify users of a recognition, Shout Out, or announcement posted on the Employment Hero platform. These messages will then appear on the Slack channel designated for your company feed announcement automation.
No, at this stage, the Slack integration only supports a connection to public Slack channels.
