A return to work form is used to record the reason for an employee's absence after returning from leave. The return to work form is available within the leave module, so that employees and managers can easily access them upon return of the employee. This article will explain how to complete a return to work form and apply it to the leave management settings.
Important
You will need to select the Leave Reasons Required option so that the drop-down appears in the on the Leave Request page, otherwise you cannot submit a return to work request.
Getting started
- Log into your Employment Hero platform.
- Click the General Settings menu.
- Click the Leave Settings submenu.
- Click the Add Leave Type button.
- Add the details of the leave type.
- Check the Return to work form checkbox.
- Click the Save button.
- Add details of the Leave Policy and click the Save button.
- Assign the leave type to the applicable employees and click the Save button.
- Log into your Employment Hero platform.
- Click the Time menu.
- Clikc the Leave Management submenu.
- Select the employee with the Return to Work form you would like to complete.
- Add notes and comments related to the form.
- View any relevant documents uploaded by the employee.
- Check the Declaration checkbox, then click the Submit Declaration button.
Warning
The declaration should only be submitted once both the employee and manager have completed their comments, and any internal meetings have taken place.
If you submit your declaration before the other party completes their comments, this will lock the form and no longer be editable.
