Manage Find Talent candidates in the employee file

Available for the following plans: Lite, Plus, Unlimited HR, Engage, Elite, Unlimited HR+Payroll
Available for the following HR classic plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum
Available for the following user access levels: Admin, People Manager, Hiring Manager

You can use Find Talent directly from an employee's file to search for candidates suited to that employee's role. This is useful when you need to find a like-for-like replacement or when you want to find candidates for a specific position without leaving the employee record. From the employee file, you can view, save, connect with, and manage candidate matches for that role.

This article will show you how to manage the following:

Access candidates from the employee file

Open the Talent Recommendations panel
  1. Click the People menu.
  2. Click Employees List.
  3. Click the employee whose role you want to find candidates for.
  4. Click the Talent Recommendations button.

The Find Talent panel will slide out, showing candidate matches based on the employee's job title and location.

Create a new search

Search for a different role

Follow these steps to search for a different role than the one currently held by the employee:

  1. Click the People menu.
  2. Click Employees List.
  3. Click the Add employee button.
  4. Click the Find Talent — Find your next employee button.
  5. Click the New Find Talent role button.
  6. Complete the role fields (job title, location, workplace type, experience level, employment type).
  7. Click Save.

Update role location

Modify matching factors

Location is a primary factor in candidate matching. To update it:

  1. Open the Talent Recommendations panel from the employee file.
  2. Click the Update location button.
  3. Select Onsite/Hybrid or Remote for the Workplace Type.
    • Onsite/Hybrid: select the country and location.
    • Remote: select the candidate location scope (Anywhere, Country, or Timezone).
  4. Click Save.

Save and connect with candidates

Manage individual candidates

From the Talent Recommendations panel in the employee file, you can:

  • View: See a candidate's full profile.
  • Save: Keep a candidate for later.
  • Connect: Reach out to a candidate via email.
  • Mark as not suitable: Remove the candidate from recommendations for this role.

Protect employee privacy

Active employees on the Employment Hero platform are excluded from candidate matching results shown to other organisations. To ensure an employee is fully excluded, make sure their personal email address is recorded in their employee file.
