Here are the latest product releases and updates for Employment Hero for the week of 23-27 September 2024.

Pre-Payroll (Expenses)

Expense/Claims Cap Limits (Slice 1)

    • Release Date: 24th September 2024
    • Target Audience: All UK & SEA customers using the AIOP platform and managing expense or claims categories through payroll.
    • Objective:
      • This release introduces the ability for admins and owners to set a cap limit for each expense or claims category within the payroll system. The cap ensures that any claims or expenses—whether they are pending, approved, or currently being submitted—are counted towards the limit.
      • The cap limits will be enforced on a yearly basis, running from 1st January to 31st December. This ensures that employees’ claims are consistently monitored against the preset thresholds, providing greater control over expense management and budget adherence.
      • Please note that this is the first of several planned slices for this feature. Future updates will introduce additional functionalities to further enhance this capability.

  1. *UK Mileage Reimbursement
    • Release Date: 24th September 2024
    • Target Audience: All UK customers using AIOP and managing mileage reimbursements through payroll.
    • Objective:
      • This release automates the mileage reimbursement process for UK organisations, eliminating the need for manual calculations. Admins and payroll owners can now assign a dedicated "Expense Category" for mileage reimbursement, which will automatically sync with the payroll platform.
      • Employees will be able to submit mileage claims based on the standard AMAP rates for cars, vans, motorcycles, and bicycles. The platform will track total mileage for each employee throughout the financial year, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and streamlining payroll processes.
      • Future updates are planned to introduce more customizable features for mileage reimbursement, allowing for greater flexibility in how mileage rates are applied and tracked.

eBenefits & FinTech - Benefits

Launch of Fitness First and Goodlife Health Club Exclusive Discount Offers (AU)

    • Release Date: 9th September 2024
    • Target Audience: Australian users with access to benefits via the Swag app.
    • Objective:
      • This update introduces exclusive discounts for Swag app users in Australia, offering 15% off 12 and 18-month gym memberships at Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to provide users with more value through health and wellness-related benefits, encouraging them to lead active, healthy lifestyles while saving on gym memberships.
      • The discount can be easily accessed via the Swag app, streamlining the redemption process for users. This is one of many planned enhancements to our Benefits section, designed to increase the attractiveness of our app and foster engagement with the platform.

Workplace Compliance

Adding Filters to 'My Leave' Section

    • Release Date: 25th September 2024
    • Target Audience: All employees across the organization.
    • Objective:
      • This update adds powerful filtering capabilities to the "My Leave" section, enabling users to apply filters to the Time Off Calendar View. The new filters allow employees to search by a specific person, direct team members, or all staff across the company. This improvement will make it easier for users to navigate their leave and time-off requests, improving both the employee experience and the overall efficiency of leave management.

  1. *Celebrations Widget (Slice 2)
    • Release Date: 25th September 2024
    • Target Audience: Platinum and All-In-One Platinum (AIOP) customers, specifically Admins, Owners, and Managers with the relevant permissions.
    • Objective:
      • Slice 2 of the Celebrations Widget introduces two new tabs—Today and Upcoming—that allow users to view Work Anniversaries and Birthdays either for the current day (Today tab) or for the next 14 days (Upcoming tab). Admins, Owners, and Managers can apply filters to the widget, enabling them to view personnel by name, team, or whether they are reporting personnel.
      • This feature provides a quick and easy way for team leaders to keep track of important milestones, fostering a more engaging and celebratory workplace culture.

 


ATS

Design Update for Candidate Review

    • Release Date: 26th September 2024.
    • Target Audience: All global ATS users.
    • Objective:
      • This update introduces a redesigned interface for the candidate review process within the ATS, making it easier for hiring managers to view and evaluate candidates. With clearer SmartMatch candidate highlights and a simplified layout, the update reduces the time needed to review and approve candidates, ultimately accelerating the hiring process.
      • The design has been streamlined to create a more intuitive and user-friendly experience, making it easier for teams to collaborate on candidate assessments.
