Learning events allow you to facilitate live training—whether in-person or via webinar—directly within your learning paths. This article explains how learners can book into these sessions and how administrators can manage attendee records.

Getting started

Before a learner can book an event, the event must be part of an existing course with upcoming dates available. Event bookings are made directly within the Learning Player.

How to book an event as a learner
  1. Start the course: Navigate to the course containing the event and click the Start button.
  2. Locate the event item: Select the event module within the Player. This opens the event detail page showing all available dates.
  3. Select a date: Choose the session that fits your schedule and click the Book Now button.
  4. Review details: Once booked, you can review the event time, location (or link), and any additional instructions provided by the instructor.

Daily activities

As an administrator or manager, you can manage event enrolments and track who attended to ensure accurate reporting.

Add a learner to an event on their behalf
  1. Log into Go1 from Employment Hero.
  2. Navigate to the Course Overview page.
  3. Click on the Event item within the course structure.
  4. Click the Profile + (Add) icon next to the specific event date you wish to enrol them in.
  5. Click the + Add button, search for the learner(s), and select + Add Attendees.

Note: Once added manually, the learner does not need to take any further booking action.

Record event attendance
  1. Open the Event Overview page and select the relevant Date.
  2. Go to the Pending tab to see a list of learners booked for that session.
  3. For individual updates: Click the Green Checkmark to mark as Attended or the Red X for Didn't Attend.
  4. For bulk updates: Use the Select All option to mark all pending attendees at once.

Further information

What happens after booking?

Before the event, the enrolment remains In Progress. Learners can return to the Player at any time to view session details or links. Once marked as Attended, the event item will show as Completed in the learner's transcript.

Notifications

The platform automatically sends a notification to the learner once they are booked into a session. Admins can also send manual reminders by clicking the Three Dots (Ellipsis) icon on the attendee list and selecting Send Notification.
