The 9-box talent grid allows you to assess your employees' potential and performance. To ensure complete transparency and trust, the visibility banner now provides real-time updates based on your selections. This ensures that you always know exactly what information your employees can see before you save a rating.
This article shows you how to manage the following:

- Confirm visibility settings within the employee file
- Access the talent report from the visibility banner
Verify visibility settings on the talent grid
When you add or update a rating directly from the 9-box talent grid, the information banner reflects your specific sharing choices instantly.
- Log in to your Employment Hero platform.
- Go to the 9-box talent grid.
- Open the Add rating form for the desired employee.
- Locate the visibility checkboxes: Allow scores to be visible to the employee and Allow comments to be visible to the employee.
- Tick or untick the boxes to see the banner update:
- No boxes ticked: The blue banner disappears entirely so you know nothing is being shared.
- Scores only: The banner appears and specifies that only scores will be visible.
- Comments only: The banner appears and specifies that only comments will be visible.
- Both ticked: The banner confirms that both the rating and comments will be visible to the employee.
Confirm visibility settings within the employee file
You can also update 9-box ratings from the side panel within an employee file. The banner behavior remains consistent to ensure a trustworthy experience.
- Open the Employee File of the person you wish to review.
- Open the rating side panel.
- Adjust the visibility checkboxes for scores and comments.
- Check the blue banner at the top of the panel to confirm it accurately matches your selection.
- Click Save once you are satisfied with the visibility settings.
Access the talent report from the visibility banner
The visibility banner now includes a direct link to the talent report, allowing you to review how ratings appear before finalizing them.
- Ensure at least one visibility checkbox is ticked in the Add rating form or side panel.
- Locate the blue information banner.
- Click the link within the banner labeled view the 9-box talent report.
- Review the report details to understand the employee's perspective.
