The Course Creation feature allows you to create a learning course that can include a range of different learning items—such as events, modules, documents, quizzes, learning files, and more. You can also use this feature to unpublish a course if you no longer want it live. Please note: it is not possible to permanently delete a course. This is in line with Go1’s policy which states:
“We no longer offer the ability to completely delete the course or resource.”
You can also book into an event, assign the course to your users, add it to your playlist, or share it on social media.
Getting started
- Log into Go1 from Employment Hero.
- Click the Your Profile button.
- Click the Administrator button.
- Click the Course tab.
- Click the Create button.
- Complete the following fields:
- Upload an image.
- Title.
- Description.
- Click the Create button.
- Click the Add button.
- Select the course item you would like to add.
- Complete the required fields for the course you selected.
- Click the Visibility button.
- Complete the required fields.
- Click the Close button.
- Click the Publish button.
Upload your external learning
You can upload bespoke content or external learning files directly to your Go1 portal to supplement the existing library. Supported formats include:
- Interactive: SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI, CMI5, or AICC (ZIP files).
- Video: MP4 files or links from YouTube/Vimeo.
- Audio: MP3, OGG, or WAV files.
- Document: PDF, DOCX, and PPTX (presented as PDF to learners).
- Link: External web content or integrated LTI tools.
- Log into Go1 from Employment Hero.
- Log in as an Administrator.
- Navigate to the Content or Resources section.
- Click the Create button and select the specific format you wish to upload (e.g., Interactive File, Video, or Document).
- Follow the prompts to upload your file or enter the external URL.
- Add a title, description, and thumbnail image, then click Save or Publish.

Highlight your organisation's course content on the homepage
Feature courses and playlists on homepage to showcase organisational content for maximum visibility and engagement with your custom content. Use content featuring to highlight your custom learning materials directly on the learner's homepage. This creates prominent visibility for playlists and courses your team has created while maintaining the personalised learning experience.
Featured content appears in the "Curated by your organisation" section on the learner's homepage. You can feature unlimited awards, courses and playlists, with 6 items of each type displaying at a time. When you feature more than 6 items, the platform rotates which content appears each time learners visit their homepage.
Content you can feature:
- Awards created by your organisation
- Courses created by your organisation
- Playlists created by your organisation.
Use both features strategically to maximise content visibility:
Featured content showcases learning materials your organisation has created—playlists and courses designed specifically for your team's context. You probably won't update these all the time, just when organisational contexts like your values or competencies change.
Spotlight promotes any content from your library as current priorities, including both your custom content and external learning materials that align with strategic initiatives. - Log into Go1 from Employment Hero.
- Navigate to Library.
- Filter by Provider and choose your organisation name.
- Filter by Type and select Course/Award.
- Select the pin icon next to any course or award to feature it on the homepage.
- Select the pin icon again to remove the course from featured.
- Log into Go1 from Employment Hero.
- Navigate to Library.
- Select the Playlists tab.
- Select the pin icon next to any playlist created by your organisation to feature it on the homepage.
- Select the pin icon again to remove the playlist from featured.
