InfoSec and Security
Initiative: SAP Access Management: Manager without SAP Access
Release Date: 31/03/2025
Description:
- Problem:
- Managers without SAP access are unable to view, process, or act on SAP access requests from their employees.
- This creates delays, lack of visibility, and additional dependency on other teams (e.g., IT or Infosec) to coordinate approvals, which slows down employee access provisioning and interrupts business operations.
- Product features:
- Managers without SAP access can view and process employee SAP requests within EH HR.
- Managers without SAP access receive email notifications when employees submit SAP access requests.
- Approving a request in EH HR routes it to InfoSec for second-level approval.
- All SAP request types are supported: New Access, Modify Access Level, Modify Permissions.
- If a manager is later granted SAP access, all historical and pending requests are duplicated into SAP.
- Once a manager is granted SAP access, they will no longer be able to process SAP requests via EH HR. Instead, all SAP-related approvals must be actioned directly within SAP.
Initiative: Bulk Action Accounts UI Uplift
Description:
- Problem:
- The current Bulk Action Accounts process is fragmented and inefficient, making it difficult for Infosec and Security teams to quickly manage and action large user lists during security incidents.
- We are uplifting the UI to streamline the bulk action process and ensure proper functions like filtering, searching, and importing are implemented to deliver a faster, safer, and more intuitive user experience.
- Product features:
- Upload CSV files via drag and drop (.csv only).
- Perform Lock, Unlock, and Change Password actions on a single page.
- View affected user count before confirming actions.
- Display the 5 most recent historical bulk actions by default.
- Filter historical actions by Timestamp, Event, Affected Users, and Performed By.
- Import historical user lists individually from past Bulk Action events.
- Streamlined Bulk Action Accounts UI combining upload, user management, actions, and history.
Integrations
Initiative: Surfacing Chart of Accounts within the AIOP (MVP)
Description: This work surfaces Chart of Accounts (COA) management directly into the "Pay" section of AIOP. As such, users can now configure their COA alongside their payroll integrations, allowing them to easily access and manage these accounts themselves.
- Note: This work will currently only support configuring of primary accounts, with the ability to allocate these by location. Full location-specific account management will be supported in future releases.
Initiative: Surfacing QBO integration in the AIOP
Description: This update makes a QBO integration connection accessible and manageable directly within the AIOP, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency for payroll processing.
- Users can now navigate to 'payroll integrations' via 'pay' in AIOP and connect to QBO
- Available in AU & UK
- Key benefit of this is it means that customers won't need to get temporary access to connect in payroll or share they login credentials for QBO with the services team which is a huuuge win all round
ITOps & Security
Initiative: Improve efficiency of Admin/SAP Access Management on Payroll
Description: Actions related to the management of SAP users are currently spread out across the User Maintenance and Admin Access Management tools which creates inefficiencies with managing SAP access.
To improve this process we will be consolidating all SAP access related actions into one centralised location and aligning the user experience between payroll and HR.
Following on from the first release of the SAP Profile page, we have now released the following functionalities on SAP Profile page:
- The ability to Revoke Admin access
- The ability to view SAP user's assigned access level and the permissions they inherit
Initiative: Reset individual SAP user’s daily business access limit on Payroll
Description: As part of mitigating risk associated with excessive access to customer data, SAP users are currently restricted to accessing 25 client businesses a day, however some users may need to access more businesses than usual.
- Previously to allow for additional access we would increase the daily limit, however the increased limit applies every SAP user which increases risk of impact if an account was compromised.
- We have now introduced the ability to reset an individual’s user’s daily limit, which allows selected users to access additional businesses while keeping the original daily limit for everyone else.
- Information Security SAP Users will be able to reset the daily limit through a SAP user’s profile in Admin Access Management
- Selected UK SAP Users will be able to reset the daily limit through a SAP user’s details in User Maintenance
- When a user’s daily limit is reset, they will lose access to the 25 businesses they previously confirmed access for during the day and access will need to be reconfirmed if needed.

Objective: Ensure UK employers meet right-to-work compliance standards while reducing manual effort through an integrated, automated verification process. Integrate with Zinc, an Identity Document Service Provider (IDSP), to enable seamless Right-to-Work checks for clients using their Zinc accounts.
