Build a long term recruitment pipeline with Expression of Interest job listings

Available for the following plans: Plus, Unlimited HR, Engage, Elite, Unlimited HR+Payroll,
Available for the following HR plans: Premium, Platinum
Available for the following User Access levels: Manager, Admin

The Expression of Interest (EOI) Jobs feature allows you to collect candidate interest for roles before you are formally ready to hire. Unlike standard job listings that expire after 90 days, EOI roles remain visible on your career page indefinitely. This helps you build a continuous pipeline of talent, as applicants are automatically added to your Talent Pool for future sourcing.

This article will show you how to manage the following:

Create an Expression of Interest job listing

Mark a job as an Expression of Interest

Identify roles that are not yet actively hiring by marking them as an EOI during the job creation process.

  1. Log in to Employment Hero.
  2. Open the Job Creation form.
  3. Locate the Expression of Interest checkbox.
  4. Tick the checkbox to save the job as an EOI listing.
  5. Complete the remaining job details and save your progress.

Helpful Hint

The Expression of Interest checkbox is only visible to organisations that have the Talent Pool feature enabled. Additionally, once a job is created, you cannot change its EOI status; the checkbox will be visible but disabled when editing existing jobs.

Manage the visibility of an EOI listing

Publish and unpublish EOI listings

You have full control over when an EOI listing appears on your career page.

  1. Navigate to your list of job listings.
  2. Select your Expression of Interest job.
  3. Click Publish to make the role visible to candidates on your career page.
  4. Click Unpublish at any time to remove the listing from public view.

Important

EOI listings are designed to stay open. They remain visible on your career page and eligible for candidate recommendations through SmartMatch even after 90 or 180 days have passed.

Track candidate sources in the Talent Pool

View candidate entry methods

Understand how candidates discovered your organisation by checking their source within the Talent Pool.

  1. Click the Talent Pool icon.
  2. Locate a candidate in the list.
  3. Check the Source label next to the candidate's name:
    • Expressed Interest: The candidate applied via an EOI listing.
    • Manually added: A recruiter added the candidate to the pool manually.
    • Added from applications: The candidate was moved to the pool from a standard job application.
