Leave submission and management for regular vs HeroForce employees vary slightly. Here are some frequently asked questions about leave for HeroForce personel.

For employees

As a HeroForce employee, how do I submit a leave request?

As a HeroForce employee, you can ask for leave in the same way that regular employees of your organisation request leave. Please follow the steps in this article: Submit, view and edit leave.

Why is my leave request locked?

At the end of each month, all approved leave requests for HeroForce employees will become locked and you will be unable to make any edits. We do this to make sure our team has accurate information and adequate notice for processing payroll and any associated leave allowances or deductions, for example, leave loading, leave without pay etc.

For managers and admins

How does leave differ between HeroForce and regular employees?

There are small differences in how leave is managed between regular employees compared to HeroForce employees.

Leave Categories

Leave categories and rules for HeroForce employees are managed by our team of HeroForce experts. This is to make sure that all local regulations regarding leave are handled correctly. If you have questions about leave categories or would like ‌to add a new one, please contact our team.

Leave Reporting

We will not include leave from your HeroForce employees in the Leave Reporting module.

Leave Calendar

Your HeroForce employees will not appear on the Leave Calendar on the Leave Management page.

How do I view leave balances for my HeroForce employees?

As a manager of a HeroForce employee or an admin user, you can view the leave balances of your HeroForce employees in two ways.

Through a HeroForce employee’s leave request

When reviewing a leave request for a HeroForce employee, you will be able to view the leave category that they have requested as well as the leave balance for this category.

Through the Request Leave function

When applying for leave, you will be able to select which person the leave request is associated with. By selecting your HeroForce employee, you will then see their leave balance on the right side of the screen.

How do I approve leave requests as a manager of a HeroForce employee?

As a manager of a HeroForce employee, you can approve leave requests in the same way that you do for your regular employees. Please refer to this article: Approve and decline leave requests.

How do I add a new leave category for a HeroForce employee?

For HeroForce employees, we control leave categories via the HeroForce service, and they may differ from the leave categories of your organisation. If you have questions about leave categories or would like a new leave category added, please contact our team.
