The Champion: Your Role in Implementing Employment Hero
As the key person responsible for successfully implementing Employment Hero in your organisation, you’ve stepped into the role of Employment Hero Champion.
Your mission is not to become an expert in all things Employment Hero but to ensure everyone in your organisation, from leadership to managers and employees, feels confident and empowered to use the platform effectively.
To achieve this, we recommend the following steps:
- Communicate the benefits: Share the value of Employment Hero with managers and employees, highlighting how it will make their work easier and more efficient.
- Empower your team: Provide employees with the tools and resources they need to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
By taking these steps, you’ll help create a smooth and successful implementation process for your organisation.

When you’re ready to launch, it’s crucial to anticipate your employees’ potential reactions. Change can be challenging, and if they’re unfamiliar with an HRIS or people management platform, they may feel uncertain about using it.
Make your launch of Employment Hero HRIS engaging and memorable by tailoring the event to your team’s unique culture. Here are some creative ideas to kick off the platform in a fun, positive way:
- Lunch and Learn: Host an informal session where employees can enjoy some food together while learning about the new platform’s features and benefits.
- Interactive Launch Presentation: Deliver a presentation showcasing how Employment Hero will make work life easier, followed by a live Kahoot! quiz to test their knowledge and spark excitement.
- Ask Me Anything (AMA) Panel: Organise a panel with internal champions or managers where employees can ask questions about the platform in an open, supportive environment.
-
Gamify the Onboarding Process: Create a challenge where employees earn rewards for completing tasks, like setting up their profiles or exploring specific features.
For our Australian customers, take advantage of the Hero Points feature within Employment Hero to reward employees as they complete key tasks. This not only makes the launch fun and interactive but also familiarises employees with a valuable area of the platform they'll use moving forward.
Regardless of how you decide to introduce Employment Hero to your employees, it’s important to make sure no one is caught off guard by the platform’s launch. Proper communication and clear information beforehand can help mitigate confusion and minimise the chances of resistance to the new system.
