Automations

Public holidays on the Calendar page now open a popover showing the holiday name, date, and where it applies, making it easier for teams to understand location-specific observances at a glance. (Released: 29 September 2026)
The To Do widget now separates urgent compliance actions from routine tasks, adds countdown badges, and highlights overdue or time-sensitive items so users can prioritise important obligations more easily. (Released: 30 September 2026, All users)

Payroll dimensions can now be surfaced in HR and applied across rostered shifts, timesheets, clock in/out, Hero Time Clock, and the EH Work app, reducing manual re-entry and improving payroll tagging accuracy. (Released: 29 September 2026, HR and payroll customers)

Users must now complete step-up verification before removing an authenticator app from their account, strengthening account security and reducing the risk of unauthorised changes when a password has been compromised. (Released: 30 September 2026, Employment Hero users with TOTP enabled)

New public timesheet API endpoints now let partners update, delete, approve, and decline timesheet entries, including bulk approval and decline actions, making workforce and payroll integrations easier to manage at scale. (Released: 1 October 2026, API partners)
