Feature access for employees versus contractors

There is a significant difference between the features available for independent contractors compared to employees. Contractors will have limited access to features within the Employment Hero platform, and they do not synchronise with an integrated payroll platform.

By default, employees with no reporting employees will only have access to their profile, the dashboard, any side menu bar items you have left turned on and all things assigned to them. However, employees with direct reports will also have access to their reports profiles and management tools.

The below permissions detail what features are available to Employees vs. Contractors. Please be aware that you can restrict some features on the platform, for both employees and contractors via the Menu Customisation feature.
