The timesheet integration feature allows you to connect your Payroll classic platform to your Deputy Enterprise Edition platform. This connection will let you import your timesheets directly from Deputy, with the ability to select whether they need approval on the Payroll classic platform first before applying them to an employee's pay run.
Important
When importing timesheets from Deputy Enterprise, your employee and location data within your Payroll classic platform must match the data from your Deputy Enterprise. We recommend using the Import Employees feature to make sure you have a matching employee and location data between the two platforms.
Warning
Timesheets will only flow from the Employment Hero platform to your Payroll classic platform. In other words, this data connection is not bidirectional, and any timesheet submissions made in the Payroll classic platform will not flow through to your Employment Hero platform. We advise you to submit any timesheet via the HR platform's Timesheet feature.
Getting started
- Click the Business Settings menu.
- Click the Payroll Settings submenu.
- Under Business Management, click Integrations.
- Click the Add button for Deputy.
- Click the Connect to Deputy button.
- Log into your Deputy platform.
- Select your Deputy business to be integrated with the Payroll classic platform.
- Click the Allow Access button.
Helpful Hint
Your Employment Hero Payroll classic platform is now connected to your Deputy Enterprise platform.
Managing data
- Click the Employee menu.
- Click the Import Employees submenu.
- Click the Import Employees From dropdown.
- Click Deputy.
- Click the Deputy Pay Centre dropdown.
- Click the pay centre you need.
- Click the Import button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see a status message showing the successful upload of your employees' data from Deputy into your Payroll classic platform.
- Click the Timesheet menu.
- Click the Import Timesheets submenu.
- Click the Import Timesheets From dropdown.
- Click Deputy.
- Complete the following fields:
- Deputy Pay Centre
- Date range.
- Approve timesheets.
Helpful Hint
The Approve Timesheets option allows you to choose whether the platform automatically approves the timesheets when imported or whether they need to go through your organisation's timesheet approval workflow.
- Click the Import button.
Helpful Hint
You will now see a status message showing the successful uploading of your timesheets from Deputy into your Payroll classic platform.
