Turn off automatic contributions to self-help groups (SHGs)

Available for the following Payroll plans: Standard, Premium

As an employer, you are expected to deduct your employees' contributions to self-help groups (SHGs) from their wages. However, employees may opt out of contributing to SHGs. 

As the platform automatically sets up SHG contributions when an employee is enrolled into the platform, here's how you can turn it off.

Turn off automatic SHG contributions

Turn off contributions to SHGs
  1. Log into your Employment Hero Payroll platform.
  2. Click the   Employees menu.
  3. Click the employee name who has opted out of SHG contributions.

  4. Click Pay Run Defaults.
  5. Tick the SHG Contributions Exempt box.

  6. Click Save
