Multi-language Features in Go1 Admin
Search user experience
Search results will show a universal language acronym, which shows what other languages the content is available in. In the Exel example below, you can see it is available in multiple languages. Where the result shows with other language support, this shows there are subtitles/closed captions/audio available.
Once you open the learning content preview page, under the Language section, you will also see details on the primary language, language alternatives and/or supported languages.
- Primary language: The main language in which the content is available
- Language alternatives: Other languages in which the content is available
- Language support: A single piece of content with subtitles, text, transcripts, quizzes, assets or audio in multiple languages
Click on the desired language version to link out to that piece of content.
Searching for content via the Search Bar
Search can understand English and non-English keywords and show relevant results. For example, you can type your English keyword query of leadership in crisis management in French. Or you could type in your language keyword query, for example, Cybersécurité.
Searching for content in a specific language via the Languages Filter
- Type in your keyword query into the Search filed.
- Click the All Filters button.
- Select the Language Filter option.
- Select the languages you are after.
- Click Show Results button.
Selecting multiple languages will act as an ‘AND’ filter and conditions will be additive.
Search Tips
Interpreting Search Results
If you see ‘with other language support’ in the UI, it means that the piece of content typically has subtitles/supported audio/text/transcripts/quizzes/other assets available. If you see a two-letter language code, it means the piece of content has a different version available in the stated language.
Searching for Subtitles
If you are searching for a piece of content and prefer subtitles, it is best to type the keyword (topic / skill / title) into search in English and use the Languages’ filter.
Searching for a piece of content in multiple languages
It is better to search one non-English language at a time rather than inputting multi-language keywords into the same search query. To find content about the art of resistance in French and German, type L'art de la résilience into the search bar and press Enter before entering Die Kunst des Widerstands.
Terminology
- Primary language: The main language in which the content is available
- Language alternatives: Refer to other languages in which the content is available
- Language support: A single piece of content with subtitles, text, transcripts, quizzes, assets or audio in multiple languages

FAQs
What sort of language queries can Search interpret?
Search will be able to understand queries in English and all other languages, even logo-graphic languages for example Chinese 危机期间的领导力. When there is a match with the query in our library, it will return the relevant results.
Does Go1Admin have language preferences, i.e. I want to toggle the view and convert the entire Go1 experience from English to Dutch?
No, unfortunately that feature is not currently available.
