Set up and manage the AI-powered Recruitment Agent

The AI-powered Recruitment Agent automates your candidate screening process through live, interactive AI-led interviews and intelligent evaluations. This feature generates role-specific core questions based on your job metadata, conducts real-time conversational interviews, and dynamically asks follow-up questions to probe for specific examples and measurable metrics—helping you identify top talent faster.

What candidates experience

When you invite a candidate to a Recruitment Agent interview, they will receive an email with a unique link to begin their session. Clicking the link opens a video-first interface where an AI Interviewer greets them by name and guides them through a natural, two-way conversation.

Unlike static video recordings, the AI listens and responds in real-time. If a candidate's answer is brief, the AI will dynamically ask follow-up questions to clarify points or encourage the candidate to provide specific "STAR" method examples (Situation, Task, Action, Result).

Candidates have seven days to complete the interview. To support completion rates, the system sends automated reminders, including daily emails and a specific SMS reminder on Day 2. After the interview, candidates can ask the AI their own questions about the role before the session wraps up.

Set up AI-powered Recruitment Agent

Before you begin: You must have an active job posting to enable the Recruitment Agent.

Step One: Enable the Recruitment Agent
  1. Click the Recruitment menu.
  2. Click the Recruitment submenu.
  3. Click the Jobs tab.
  4. Select the job you want to add the Recruitment Agent to by clicking on the job title.
  5. On the job details page, click the Recruitment Agent button in the top right corner. Recruitment agent.jpg
  6. Review the features and click Enable Recruitment Agent.
Step Two: Add the agent to a hiring stage
  1. Click on the hiring stage where you want to add the agent (typically Screening).
  2. Select Recruitment Agent Interview from the interview options.
  3. Click Review Questions to see the AI-generated questions based on your job description. Review questions.jpg
Step Three: Review and customise core questions

The Recruitment Agent automatically generates Core Questions tailored to your role. During the live interview, the AI uses these as a foundation to dynamically ask follow-up questions based on the candidate's unique answers.

  1. Review the questions and click Save at the bottom of the list.

    Important: You must save the initial set before you can edit questions or view scorecards.
  2. Click View scorecard to see the specific "Good" vs "Bad" criteria the AI will use to evaluate both core responses and follow-up depth.
  3. To edit, click the pencil icon next to the question. Modify the text and click Save and Generate Rubric to update the AI's logic.
  4. To reorder, click Reorder questions and drag using the hamburger icon (≡). Reorder questions.jpg
Step Four: Invite candidates to the interactive interview

Jobs with an active Recruitment Agent display a sparkle icon (✨) on the main Jobs page to indicate the agent is enabled.

  1. From the job's candidate list, click the Move to dropdown button on a candidate's profile.
  2. Select the stage where the agent is active. Move to.jpg
  3. Review the pre-populated email, which includes details about the live AI-led experience and the unique link.
  4. Click Move & Send. Note: Automated email and SMS reminders will be sent periodically until the candidate completes their interview.
Step Five: View candidate evaluations
  1. Navigate to the candidate's profile. You can either do this through the Candidates tab, or by clicking to a job page, and clicking on a candidates card.
  2.  Click the Evaluation tab, in the .
  3. Summary: Review the high-level Strengths and Considerations identified by the AI during the interaction.
  4. Detailed Analysis: Review the AI-powered scoring for each question, which includes the AI's "working out" and logic.
  5. Playback and Transcription: Click Play Video Interview to watch specific video segments or read the live transcript of any individual question interaction.

Frequently asked questions

How does the agent handle vague answers?

The AI is "agentic," meaning it acts like a real recruiter. If a candidate provides a surface-level response, the AI will probe for specific examples or measurable outcomes to ensure the final evaluation score is accurate and comprehensive.

How many questions should I include?

We recommend 4–8 core questions. Because the AI adds dynamic follow-up probes, the actual interview duration can vary between 15–30 minutes. Keeping the core set concise ensures the overall session remains a manageable length for candidates.

Do I have to watch the whole video?

No. The evaluation tab is segmented. You can jump directly to the video segments of specific questions you are interested in or simply read the AI-generated transcripts.

Understanding AI interview credits

The Recruitment Agent uses a credit-based system. Each time a candidate completes an AI-led interview, one credit is consumed from your plan's monthly allowance. Credits reset monthly at the start of each billing cycle.

Grace period — no enforcement until end of March 2026

Credit limits are currently in a grace period and will not be enforced until 1 April 2026. During this time you can continue using the Recruitment Agent without interruption, even if your usage exceeds the limit shown below. From April 2026 onwards, credit limits will apply in line with your plan.
