Enabling and managing mobile learning

The Learning feature in the EH Work app allows your employees to complete assigned training on the go. While employees complete the training on mobile, all setup and management occur within the Employment Hero web portal.

Note for New Clients

If your organisation joined Employment Hero after January 2025, the mobile learning feature is enabled automatically. You only need to manage the menu visibility if you wish to hide the tab.

Enable the Learning add-on

How do I enable the Learning add-on?

If your organisation joined prior to January 2025, you may need to manually enable the feature:

  1. Log into the Employment Hero web portal.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Click on Add-ons.
  4. Find Employment Hero Learning and click Enable.

Customise the mobile menu visibility

How do I hide or show the Learning tab on mobile?

You can control whether the Learning tab is visible to your employees via the Menu Customisation settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Click on Mobile Settings (or Menu Customisation).
  3. Find the Learning menu item.
  4. Toggle the switch On to show the tab or Off to hide it from the mobile app.
  5. Click Save.

Track employee progress

How do I see completed mobile training?

Real-time Sync

Progress is synced instantly. When an employee completes a module on their mobile device, their status will update to "Completed" in your admin reports immediately.

You can track completions using your existing Learning reports:

  1. Navigate to the Learning module on the web portal.
  2. Click on Reports.
  3. View the Learning Progress Report to see the status of all assigned training, regardless of whether it was completed on desktop or mobile.
