A company's leave calendar offers a centralised view of all employees' leave, that will promote a transparent and collaborative work environment. It also helps prevent unplanned absences from disrupting work and makes sure adequate coverage while employees take time off. Admins can enable the company-wide leave calendar through the Permissions feature. You can also view a leave calendar on the dashboard as an admin or manager.
Getting started
- Click the Settings menu.
- In the Security & Access Control section, click Permissions.
- Click the Add Permission button.
- Click Skip and configure my own.

Step 1 - Detail & Access: Complete the following fields:
- Group name: Give your security group a descriptive name.
- Description: (Optional) Add context about this group's purpose.

Whose data can this group access: Define the scope of data this group can access.
- Employee Access: Choose from All employees, Reporting Employees, Groups, Locations, Worksites, or No employees.
- Click Next.
- Step 2 - Employee Permissions: Configure any employee-specific actions if required and click Next.
- Step 3 - Contractor Permissions: Configure permissions for contractor data if applicable and click Next.
- Step 4 - General Permissions: Under the General Permissions section, select the Leave calendar access option.
- Click Next to review the group, then click the Save button.
You can view a leave calendar on the dashboard if you are an admin or manager. There is a calendar widget available on the dashboard. Employees only show up on the leave calendar once they have submitted or taken leave in the calendar year. Below is how to view the calendar. A scrollbar appears when a mouse is connected, allowing you to scroll across the calendar. It will be hidden if no mouse is connected.
