Explanation

When your HR platform is integrated with a Payroll platform, the HR platform is the source of truth for employee data such as leave requests. Leave requests will sync from HR to Payroll on approval; they will never sync from Payroll to the HR platform.

This error typically occurs when a leave request with the same dates has been submitted on the payroll platform first. When the leave request is then submitted on the HR platform, this error is triggered to ensure the leave request is not synced and duplicated on the payroll platform.

Solution

You will first need to check whether the leave request has been processed on the payroll platform.

If the leave request has been processed on the payroll platform
  1. Clck the Settings icon.
  2. Click Payroll integration issues.
  3. Select the Leave Requests tab.
  4. Select the Actions drop-down menu, then select Hide from Dashboard for the error.

This will ensure that you have a record of the leave request on the HR platform and will stop the error from appearing on your dashboard.

If the leave request has not been processed on the payroll platform
  1. Delete the leave request on the payroll platform.
  2. Re-submit the leave request on the HR platform.

Once the leave request has been approved, it will sync to your payroll platform.
