Welcome to this week's updates to new and updates products from Employment Hero. This news is for the week 11-18 August 2024. 

 

Growth

  • Description: Added a new "Payroll Queries" help option to the "Get Help" button for AutoPay organisations, allowing users to navigate to the Communications feature within AutoPay in HR for payroll-related queries. This new hierarchy of help options improves the support experience for AutoPay customers.

  • Description: Updated the UK Demo video in-platform with Jesse’s new pre-recorded demo, more aligned with Employment Unlimited to better attract and engage micro businesses (organisations with fewer than 20 employees).

  • Description: Integrated Employment Essentials' Marketo sign-up form into the Sanity CMS to enhance the user journey for account activation, especially for users coming from the Salary Benchmarking tool. This enables a more seamless experience for businesses exploring SmartMatch candidates within Employment Essentials.

Hero AI

  • Description: Simplified the Hero AI user interface to reduce excess information and improve the clarity of suggested prompts. Changes include removing the “AI Powered” and “Beta” tags, moving the disclaimer below the text input, and increasing the visibility of the "Talk to Support" button to improve user experience.

    • Target Users: Hero AI users
  • Description: Improved the Zendesk support process by integrating Hero AI’s interaction summary into the live messaging feed. This enhancement eliminates unnecessary steps for customers by streamlining the support process and improving customer experience for admins and owners.

    • Target Users: Admins and owners in ANZ and UK
  • Description: Improved knowledge-based article (KBA) display in Hero AI by showing multiple relevant KBAs and adjusting the style to make them appear more as help resources rather than citations. This enhancement is expected to increase digital deflection by encouraging users to find help through KBAs instead of live chat.

Core HR

  • Description: Implemented a new account recovery flow to reduce manual support work for resetting two-factor authentication (2FA). The flow includes a real-time selfie capture and government ID submission to verify users' identities, along with an automated ticket creation process and secure data handling.

  • Description: Added a personal email synchronisation feature for account provisioning, allowing users to sync their personal email addresses to Google or Microsoft 365 as recovery emails. This enhancement improves onboarding and reduces manual IT workload.

Core Payroll

  • Description: Introduced a “Split by Employees” option in the Journal Report to enable users to break down totals by employee, providing detailed payroll reconciliation data. This feature helps payroll users filter and organize reports for better transaction tracking.

  • Description: Added a deduction tab in the pay run interface, enabling related deductions from the pay run inclusion page to flow through automatically. This feature simplifies payroll processes and supports earned wage access for employees in open pay runs.

SmartMatch

  • Description: Improved the accuracy of SmartMatch candidate location data by asking candidates to confirm their location when they decline a job due to location relevance. This feedback loop helps refine candidate-job matching accuracy based on location.

  • Description: Enhanced the job search relevance for job seekers on Swag Jobs by implementing OpenSearch, which improves company name search and general job relevancy on both the web and mobile app platforms.

  • Description: Introduced job seeker potential tools with more detailed salary and career insights. New features include an interactive salary range tool, seniority pay scale, industry comparisons, and career progression insights.

  • Description: Implemented employment type (Full-time/Part-time/Casual) and workplace type (Onsite/Hybrid/Remote) inference for SmartMatch candidates to improve the relevance of candidate filtering during employer searches.

Workplace Compliance

  • Description: Updated the platform terminology for UK users by changing "Leave" to "Time Off" and "Rostering" to "Rota" to align with UK standards, improving the localisation of the platform.

eBenefits and FinTech

  • Description: Reintroduced the Earned Wage Access (EWA) payment method in the Swag store web interface, fixing previous legacy issues and aligning with new branding and fee structures.

PrePayroll

  • Description: Updated the camera library for clocking in/out within the Swag app to reduce memory usage, preventing app crashes on phones with lower memory capacity. This ensures that users can clock in/out without experiencing performance issues.

    • Target Users: Global customers using the HR + PY Swag Experience Beta

 

Integrations

  • Description: Released an OCI enhancement to support AI timesheet and Parallel Pay run tools by allowing AU implementation agents to select whether to import employee data during the OCI process. This feature prevents unnecessary data importation into demo organisations.
