Set up and manage a learning group

The Group Management feature allows you to create your organisation's learning groups a user can join to discuss certain topics or training needs.. You can also use this feature to setup the membership details, edit the information, and setup the visibility of the group. Lastly, you can also use this feature to delete a group you no longer need or export the list of groups on your learning platform.

Note: Groups have a maximum limit of 50 learning resources assigned at any time. When assigning learning content, you can add up to 20 resources in a single batch.

Getting started

Create a group
  1. Click the Your Profile button.
  2. Click the Administer button.

  4. Click the Create button.

  5. Complete the following fields:
    • Group name.
    • Group description.
    • Group logo.
  6. Click the Create button.

Assign learning material

Note: Each group can have a maximum of 50 learning resources assigned. You can assign up to 20 resources at a time in a single batch. If you need to assign more than 20 resources, repeat the process in multiple batches until you reach the 50-resource limit.

  1. Click the Your Profile button.
  2. Click the Administer button.

  1. Click the Your Profile button.

    • Open.
    • Restricated.

Automated Group feature questions

What if my group already exists and has learning assigned to it when I turn on this setting?

You can turn the setting on and any learners not in the group will be added to the group and assigned any learning that is assigned to the group. If the learner has already completed the learning and the learning has not expired or has no expiry, they will not be reassigned the learning and will keep their completed status.

I have more than 500 learners on my platform, will I encounter any issues?

No, but if you have a large number of learners on the platform (500+) and if you have platform notifications turned off, please wait for 10 minutes and then refresh the group to ensure all members have been added to the group before moving on to the next step.

Do Groups on Employment Hero sync to Groups in GO1?

No, currently Groups/Teams do not sync to Groups in GO1. You will have to add them separately.

What are the limitations for assigning learning content to groups?

Groups have a maximum limit of 50 learning resources that can be assigned at any time. When assigning learning content, you can add up to 20 resources in a single batch. If you need to assign more than 20 resources, you'll need to repeat the assignment process in multiple batches until you reach the maximum of 50 resources per group.
