Clock Me In is a user-friendly time and attendance application for iPad that integrates with the Employment Hero platform. It allows employees to easily clock in and out using a fixed kiosk at their work location. This helps streamline time tracking, improve workforce management, and ensure accurate payroll processing.
How to Prepare / Dependencies
Tip
- Clock Me In is compatible with iPads running iPadOS 13.0 or newer. Both full-access and restricted-access users can log in. Restricted-access users require permission from a full-access user before they can sign in.
- By default, integrated timesheets are enabled. If this service is disabled, employees will not be able to submit timesheets for hours worked.
Timesheet Enabling Services
- Require start/end times when entering timesheets — Allows employees to enter total hours instead of start and end times if disabled. It is recommended to require start and end times when awards or pay conditions apply.
- Require a work type when entering timesheets — Disabled automatically if no work types are configured.
- Require a location when entering timesheets — Requires employees to select a location.
- Include all timesheet notes in the pay run — Displays employee and admin notes in the pay run and on payslips if line notes are enabled.
- Notify employees when their timesheets are rejected — Sends an email when a manager rejects a timesheet.
- Managers can create timesheets for employees not enabled for timesheets
-
Enable employees to select higher classifications — Relevant only where awards or employment agreements apply. Allows employees to select a higher classification when generating timesheets.
- Default setting is disabled.
- Managers can still select higher classifications even if this setting is off.
- If this setting is disabled but the kiosk option Allow employees to select a higher classification when clocking on is enabled, employees can still choose a higher classification when using Clock Me In.
- Automatically approve a timesheet identical to the rostered shift — Automatically approves timesheets that exactly match rostered shifts.
- Enable employees to include paid and unpaid breaks — Applies only to timesheets using start and end times.

Kiosk Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is there a dedicated app for iPad?
Yes. Clock Me In is available from the Apple App Store and is supported exclusively on iPads.
-
How do I manage timesheets as an admin via the app?
Learn more here .
-
What happens when an employee completes their shift?
When an employee clocks off, a timesheet is created automatically. Managers can then approve it through the usual timesheet approval process.
-
How does the kiosk location setting work?
The kiosk location determines which locations employees can select during clock-in. Assigning a parent location allows employees to choose from available sub-locations, while assigning a specific sub-location restricts selection.
-
Can I use a kiosk on a PC?
No. Browser-based kiosks are no longer supported. We recommend using the Clock Me In app on an iPad or the Employment Hero Work app on mobile devices.
Tip
- To prevent employees from selecting locations, assign the kiosk directly to the required location.
- To allow location selection, create a single kiosk and assign it to the parent location.
