To allow your onboarding with Employment Hero to be as simple as possible, we have created an onboarding checklist, streamlining our customer onboarding experience for our cohort of EmploymentOS and Intelligent Payroll-connected customers.

This article is for you if you fit the following profile:
- Are a EmploymentOS and Intelligent Payroll-connected customer.
- Are located in Australia.
- Have fewer than 20 employees in your organisation.
- Do not use awards in your organisation.
- Have salaried, non-award employees.
Getting started
Accessing your onboarding checklist
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- On the left-hand side navigation menu, click on the clipboard icon.
- Here you will see your onboarding checklist, which will assist with setting up your account.
Setting up your details
Step 1: Basic company information setup
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- On the left-hand side navigation menu, click on the clipboard icon.
- On Basic Company Information, click on Start.
- Add the following details:
- Company name
- Employing entity name (shown on legal documents)
- Industry category
- Company address
- Suburb
- Calendar year or financial year
- Click on Save and return to checklist.
Step 2: Payroll setup
- Log in to Employment Hero.
- On the left-hand side navigation menu, click on the clipboard icon.
- On Payroll setup, click on View tasks.
- On Working hours, click on Start.
- Add the following details:
- Standard work week
- Ordinary work day (in hours)
- Click on Save and return to checklist.
- On Cost centres, click on Start.
- Click on Add New Cost Centre.
- Add the following details:
- Cost centre name
- State
- Time zone
- Click on Save and return to checklist.
- Read the pop-up information, then click on Got it.
- On Nominated super funds, click on Start.
- Add the following details:
- Complete the following section to register your APRA or RSE nominated fund details
- Fund name
- Unique super identifier (USI)
- Fund's contact number (optional)
- Super fund PDS address
- Click on Save and return to checklist.
- On Pay schedule, click on Start.
- Choose your Pay frequency from the drop-down list.
- Click on Save and return to checklist.
Helpful Hint
The payroll setup fields can take 24hrs to process, so you will see an In Processing tag until they have been updated.
Helpful Hint
Once each step is completed, you will see a Completed tag appear to mark completion.
