Linking Google or Microsoft Accounts to Employment Hero

Available for the following plans: Employment Lite, Employment Plus
Available for the following HR classic plans: Standard, Premium, Platinum
Available for the following Payroll plans: Standard, Premium

Simplify your login process by linking your current Employment Hero account to your Google or Microsoft account. This feature allows you to securely access our platform using your preferred third-party credentials, streamlining your daily workflow and reducing the need to remember multiple passwords.

You can speed up the sign-in process by linking your Google or Microsoft account to your Employment Hero account. Once you are signed in to Employment Hero, you will need to link your Google or Microsoft account, go through the process of signing in to that account and then give permission to log in to Employment Hero. Then, when you are signed in to Google or Microsoft, you can automatically log in to Employment Hero. There may be some time restraints on this, so keep your Employment Hero password safe.

Important

You can only link either a Google or Microsoft account, not both. Choose the account provider that you use most frequently for the best experience.

Link an account

How to link your Google account
  1. On your Home page, click your name in the top right hand side.
  2. Click Account settings.

  3. Scroll to the Linked account section and click Link on the Google tile.

  4. Select the Google account you want to link to Employment Hero, alternatively click Use another account if your account is not visible.

  5. You will then be asked to sign in to your Google account.
  6. You may be asked to accept permissions, privacy policy and terms of service etc. Review these and click Continue.

  7. You will be taken back to the Account Settings page, where your Google account will be linked.
     
How to link your Microsoft account
  1. On your Home page, click your name in the top right hand side.
  2. Click Account settings.

  3. Scroll to the Linked account section and click Link on the Microsoft tile.

  4. Select the Microsoft account you want to link to Employment Hero, or alternatively, click Use another account if your account is not visible.
  5. You will then be asked to sign in to your Microsoft account.
  6. You may be asked to accept permissions, privacy policy and terms of service etc. Review these and click Accept.

  7. You will be taken back to the Account Settings page, where your Microsoft account will be linked.

How do I know which account I have linked to Employment Hero?
If you navigate to Account Settings, then scroll to Linked accounts, you will see the linked account email address in green.

Why should I link my Google or Microsoft account?

Linking your Google or Microsoft account provides several benefits:

  • Faster login process when you're already signed in to Google or Microsoft
  • Enhanced security through trusted third-party authentication
  • Reduced password fatigue by using credentials you already remember
  • Seamless integration with your existing workflow
What happens to my existing Employment Hero password?

Your existing Employment Hero password remains active and functional. You can still use it to log in directly to Employment Hero. We recommend keeping your password safe as there may be time restrictions on third-party authentication, and you may need to use your Employment Hero credentials as a backup login method.

Can I unlink my Google or Microsoft account?

Yes, you can unlink your Google or Microsoft account at any time by returning to the Account Settings page. Scroll down to the Linked account section and click Unlink.

 Once unlinked, you will need to use your Employment Hero username and password to access your account.
