Australia (AU) Release Notes - Week 48, 2025

Digital Onboarding

Enhanced the Basic Company Information step in onboarding to treat the default employing entity the same as additional entities, ensuring unified data collection and compliance. AU clients now have a "Is this a foreign (overseas) entity?" flag for better classification. Draft save functionality allows clients to save and return to their progress. HR Rostering & Timesheets

Expanded Custom Work Hours configuration from 2 to 8 weeks for AU orgs, supporting complex rostering needs such as FIFO mining. Changes sync between HR and Payroll, and all relevant reports and features now support up to 8 weeks. (Released: 21 November 2025, Payroll only, HR<>PY connected & AIOP orgs, AU)

Payroll

Added Split Earnings capability to employee data tables, allowing employers to provide this information upfront during onboarding. This streamlines implementation and reduces delays. (Released: 24 November 2025, IO orgs, AU (non-awards) & NZ)

Core HR

Notice period fields ("during probation" and "after probation") are now available and editable for all organisations, improving contract accuracy and employment record consistency. For NZ, the field adapts to "Notice period during trial" if a trial period is selected. (Released: 21 November 2025, All orgs)

Recruitment

A new, simplified candidate profile and board view in the ATS makes hiring more efficient. Key actions are now available in side panes, and a drag-and-drop board view is the default for new users. (Released: 24 November 2025, Global)

Direct integration with Indeed enables clients to post jobs directly, access free adverts, and benefit from integrated screening questions for faster shortlisting. (Released: 26 November 2025, All orgs)

A dedicated, high-conversion landing page for jobseeker paid media campaigns has been launched, improving onboarding and reducing drop-off. (Released: 27 November 2025, Job Seekers)

The Hero Foundation candidate onboarding experience has been restructured into a shorter, more relevant two-phase flow, making it easier for candidates to complete onboarding and set up their public profiles. (Released: 25 November 2025, Hero Foundation candidates)

HR Core

Automated workflow for manager reassignment ensures continuity of workflows, approvals, and reporting lines when a manager leaves. Bulk reassignment options and real-time updates across reporting lines and org charts are now available. (Released: 26 November 2025, Global)

ITOps & Security

Inactive User Verification: Accounts inactive for over 3 months and without 2FA now require email verification on login, protecting against credential stuffing attacks. (Released: 26 February 2025, All Payroll Web Users)

Automated Security Check: The system now checks existing Payroll Web passwords against known data breaches during login, with bi-annual re-checks. (Released: 25 November 2025, Payroll Web Users)

Enhanced Account Recovery: Decline reasons for account recovery requests are now more granular, and a banner indicates requests from users without access to employee files. (Released: 25 November 2025, Internal CX staff)

AI

HeroAI’s document chunking has been improved, resulting in better answer quality for questions about KBAs and policies. (Released: 28 November 2025, All regions except SEA, all paid plans)

Performance Management

Notice period fields are now visible and editable for all organisations, ensuring consistent employment records and contract accuracy. (Released: 21 November 2025, All orgs)
