Getting through your workday should be straightforward, not a search mission. To make things easier, we’ve introduced the Payroll Home Dashboard. This update replaces old navigation patterns with a clean, modern interface that puts your most-used tools exactly where you need them.
This dashboard acts as your new central hub for all things payroll.
Get more done with a streamlined mobile interface
We’ve redesigned the experience to cut down the time you spend tapping through menus. Now that we've standardised how the app opens, you’ll always land on a screen that highlights what needs your attention right now.
Here is what you can do with the new Payroll Home Dashboard:
- Use Quicklinks: Jump straight into key areas like leave requests, unavailability, last payslip, and expenses without digging through the menu.
- Check your shifts: Use the dedicated Shifts widget to see your schedule for the next seven days at a glance.
-
Clock in and out: Use the Dynamic Clock In/Clock Out (CICO) tool directly on your home screen to start or end your shift in seconds.
- Navigate smoothly: Stay focused with a sticky header that stays put while you scroll and a new bottom navigation bar for quick app switching.
Action pending tasks
For managers and admins, we’ve added To-Do summary cards right at the top of the dashboard. These cards flag exactly what’s waiting for your sign-off so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Open the Employment Hero app.
- Check the Home Dashboard for your To-Do summary cards.
- Identify items that need your attention, such as:
- Pending timesheets.
- New leave requests.
- Expense claims.
- Tap a To-Do card to jump directly to that specific request with the right filters already applied.
Important
While the dashboard makes finding these tasks much faster, your actual approval process and payroll settings haven't changed. You’ll still finish the final approval step within the specific area of the app.
Common questions
To keep things consistent, the app now defaults to the Home Dashboard every time you open it fresh. This includes when you log in, if the app times out, or if you reinstall. We’ve retired the old logic that remembered your last-opened tab so you always see your most important updates first.
The sticky header is all about giving you more room on your screen. When you scroll down through long lists, like your timesheets, the header slides out of the way. As soon as you scroll back up, it reappears so you can navigate easily.
No. This update is purely about making the app easier to use and navigate. Your pay calculations, leave accruals, and company approval rules stay exactly as they were before.
