As a platform admin, you can make a user from your organisation a learning administrator on the Go1 platform via Permission Settings. This means you do not have to make them an admin on your Employment Hero platform if their role is limited to Learning. This feature ensures learning admins have the control needed in Go1 to perform their tasks without having unnecessary access to other areas of your platform.
Users with Learning Administrator permission will be able to access Learning Management and the Assigned Learning Report. They will also have access to all the admin-level features on the Go1 platform.
Making a user a Go1 administrator
Create a new Learning Administrator permission group
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Under Security & Access Control, click Permissions.
- Click the Add Permissions button.
- Click the Skip and Configure My Own button at the bottom of the page.
- For Group Details, enter the following:
- Group name.
- Description.

For Whose Data Can This Group Access, choose among the following:
- Employee Access:
- All employees.
- Reporting employees.
- Groups.
- Locations.
- No employees.
- Contractor Access:
- All contractors.
- Reporting contractors.
- No contractors.
Important
Please note that this field is for choosing whose data can be accessed by the user you will grant permission to. This field is NOT about selecting your learning coordinator or user you want to turn into a Go1 admin.
- Employee Access:
- Click the Next button at the bottom of the page.
- Skip the Employee Permissions page by clicking the Next button at the bottom of your screen.
- For Contractor Permissions, skip again by also clicking the Next button at the bottom of your screen.
- In General Permissions, scroll down to Learning Administrator.
- Tick the Use checkbox for Learning Administrator.
- Click the Next button at the bottom of your screen.
- In the Review Security Group page, review the details of the permission.
- Click the Next button if everything looks good.
- In the page Who Will Have These Permissions, choose the users you want to make a Go1 platform admin:
- All employees.
- Select by individual employees and/or group.
- Click the Save button.
Add a user to an existing Learning Admin permission group
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Under Security & Access Control, click Permissions.
- Click the existing permission group for learning administrators. The Edit Security Group pop-up will appear.
- In the Group Members section, add the user you want to make a Go1 admin.
- Click the Save button.
Managing Learning Admin permissions
Edit your Learning Admin permission group
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Under Security & Access Control, click Permissions.
- Click the existing permission group for learning administrators. The Edit Security Group pop-up will appear.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click the Save button.
Revoke Learning Admin permissions from a user
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Under Security & Access Control, click Permissions.
- Click the existing permission group for learning administrators. The Edit Security Group pop-up will appear.
- In the Group Members section, remove the user whose Go1 admin access you want to remove.
- Click the Save button.
Delete your Learning Admin permission group
- Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
- Under Security & Access Control, click Permissions.
- Click the three dots button (...) for the Learning Admin permission group you want to delete. This button is in the Actions column.
- Click Delete.
- In the Delete Group pop-up, click the Delete button.
